This is Recession-News.US’ blog.   Recession-News.US  features links to news articles about the housing crash,  foreclosure crisis, mortgage meltdown, credit crunch, banking busts and bailouts, rising unemployment, and people behaving badly.   Oft times, I find myself having to employ extreme self-restraint in order to refrain from commenting on some of these stories.  That is why I set up this blog – both as a place for me to let off some steam and for others to join me in commenting on the stories and/or even commenting on my comments – wether you agree or disagree, feel free to join in the fray!   Think of it as a kind of MST3K with occassional bouts of seriousness

I intend to feature on this blog, a mix of news article, opinion pieces, original, self-written articles, “how-to” articles focusing on frugal living, cheap housing, and of course, commentary – from a cynical, middle-aged, world-weary, unemployed Long Island ambulette driver and neophyte real estate investor who simultaneously finds himself fully in the path of this oncoming economic trainwreck yet is somehow too fascinated by the impending catastrophe to get off the tracks.  It’s as if I’m an inadvertant and involuntray cast-member of a real life horror movie, yet somehow I feel the urge to go get beer and a huge tub of popcorn and watch the train get closer.

Buckle up, folks – it’ gonna be one helluva rough ride…
